Beneath Xiaoxi’s hands, black and white keyboard finds a special delivate color, as in the superfine water-‐color paintings. At the same time, this delicate girl has a powerful energy, with which she captivates the audience throughout a huge recital program. Starting with sonata of Mozart, Xiaoxi ends the recital in two parts with the 4th sonata of Scriabin and “Spanish Rhapsody” of Liszt.

Chinese artist Xiaoxi Wu made her debut in the National Philharmonic Society of Russia in KMV. For the performance with orchestra, she chose the 1st concerto of F.Chopin. In opinions of classical music-‐lovers, her concert became a hit in this season. The Chinese pianist is predicted a big future.

Charming Xiaoxi Wu fascinated our audience with her great talent and mature mastery, with famous pieces of F.Chopin, such as Mazurkas, Waltz, Berceuse, 4th Ballade, the Grand Brilliant Polonaise, and of course, with her wonderful interpretation of the 2nd Sonata.

I heard Xiaoxi the first time in concert, and it was a revelation. Such a natural musician, with a real affinity with classical music. Mozart is mother language for her, proved also in Salzburg competition. She played 3 Beethoven sonatas with exemplary taste and refreshment. In Prokofiev, she showed technical brilliance and wit. A wholly satisfactory recital.

-‐ PETER FRANKL

This was the most successful performance I have ever heard from Xiaoxi. All her considerable gifts came together in a spontaneous, creative way. Works by Mozart and Prokofiev, as well as the G major Sonata Op.14 No.2 by Beethoven were played with freshness, great sensitivity, and good feeling of character.

Xiaoxi is a wonderful talent. She possesses all the great qualities of an artist: deep sensibility, wonderful sound, fascination and presence.
